This post is long overdue! When I realized how long it had been since I created a post or video on the Thrive Content Builder (also known as the Thrive Visual Editor), I knew it was time to do a massive update and create an 'Ultimate Guide' to the Thrive Visual Editor.

This is actually the first post I've written with the Thrive Visual Editor. I use Thrive for certain types of pages all the time and thought 'duh'... I should use the content builder for this post (seems a tad obvious, doesn't it?).

My goal with this post is to show the power of the Thrive Content Builder by demonstrating a bunch of things you can do with this amazing plugin that might be beyond what you thought you could use it for. I'm going to start with the obvious... which are the landing pages you can build. I've canceled all the accounts I had with other 3rd party services for creating these types of pages because why waste the money on the monthly fee for these products when I have Thrive?​

So, just to clarify... here's what you can do with the Thrive Content Builder:​

The first video is an overview and walk-thru of the plugin. There have been a few changes to the editor (all new options) since my original posts, so it might help to watch the overview.

This second video we're going to create a landing page (an opt-in page) using the Thrive lightbox that is built into the plugin (I'll link to my Thrive Leads tutorials). I've already linked my Thrive Content Builder to Active Campaign via the API option within Thrive.

Video 2 - Thrive Content Builder - Landing Page

This next video is going to show you how to add in a review element to your post and create a content template with it. Most of the time review posts are for affiliate products or tools and services you recommend. However, you can get really creative with this and do book reviews, course reviews, podcast reviews, etc. 

My suggestion with reviews (assuming you're going to be doing some reviews of affiliate products would be to ensure you are providing a ton of value with the review. Go as in depth as possible. Select relevant keywords and show someone how to use what you're reviewing or explain how it can help them (I know this seems totally obvious, but you'd be surprised!).​

This next video shows you how to add icons & custom fonts to your plugin (it's pretty easy, but sometimes the obvious isn't so obvious). You don't need to add a ton of fonts at one time. I would go through and select a few fonts that you want to use or know you will use and add those first. You can always add fonts while working in the editor so don't worry about overdoing this.

*Sidenote* take a look at font pairings when deciding which fonts to use and how to combine them. Too many fonts will look... well.... awful. Here's a great post on font pairing from Canva.
