Turn Strangers Into Buyers

Your freebie collects emails.
This one tells you who they are.

On September 17th, in 90 minutes, you’ll build a quiz that sorts every person who takes it…
so the next time you have something to sell,
you already know who to send it to.

If you’ve built a list and you can’t tell one person on it from another, this is for you.

This is the fifth quiz I’ve built.

The one on my site right now sorts people into four paths.

The one before it sorted into nine profiles.
Before that, six archetypes. Before that, eight. 🙄

Every single one of them worked, technically. People took them, results came back, tags landed in my email tool, the automations fired.

And every one of them sorted on the wrong thing… AI readiness, personality type, where someone sat on some maturity curve I’d invented on a Tuesday. Interesting to look at... Useless for deciding what to sell anybody in any meaningful way.

The version that’s live now asks two questions underneath all the other questions.

Is your expertise still trapped in your hours, or is it already packaged into something?

And do you want to express and reach, or build and systemize?

Four paths came out of that.

For the first time, the results told me something I could act on the same week.

The building was never the hard part. AI will build almost anything you can describe to it, and it’ll do it fast enough that you can build the wrong thing four times in a row without noticing.

The thinking work… who it’s for, and what it sorts on… is the entire difference between a quiz that collects emails and a quiz that tells you who they are.

That’s what we do first on September 17th.
Then we build.

The cost of guessing

What a list you can’t sort actually costs.

Guessing doesn’t show up as a line item.

I’ve written the one email to the whole list because I couldn’t tell who was who, watched it do okay, and then blamed the offer… or the subject line, or the time of day I hit send.

A list you can’t sort is a list you have to guess at, and the cost of guessing never arrives as a bill. It arrives as the launch that did fine. As the six emails you write trying to cover every possible reader, which means none of them are written to anybody. It goes out as a good offer to the whole list when it was right for one slice of it, and no way to find that slice.

Another year of that is another year of writing to a crowd and hoping the right people self-identify.

(They won’t. That’s your job, and it’s a job you can hand to a quiz.)

This is the quiz I’m teaching
you to build.

Eight questions, about two minutes, and everyone who finishes it lands somewhere specific. Four possible places, each one with its own result page, its own plan, and its own email sequence that starts on its own.

The live version, running on my site right now.

Yours won’t look like mine.
Your questions come out of your business, your paths come out of what you actually sell, and your results sound like you.

What transfers is how you decide what the quiz should be sorting on before you write a single question, which is the part I got wrong four times before I got it right.

How the 90 minutes work

Ninety minutes, one sitting, and you don’t start from a blank page.

The moment you buy

You get one prompt. Who you serve, and the problem you solve. That’s it. It takes about fifteen minutes and it’s the reason the live session isn’t spent watching everybody stare at question one.

First half, the thinking work

What you’re actually sorting on. Not personality, not readiness, not a vibe… the two things about a person that change what you’d sell them. Then the questions that reveal it, the paths they land in, and the logic that gets them there.

Second half, the build

The quiz on my site was built the hard way, in Claude Code and VS Code, self-hosted, because that’s how I build things for myself. I’m not teaching you that. I’ve since found a faster way to the same place, so I’ll build a brand new one live in ChatGPT Sites, start to finish, from my own completed pre-work. You watch the whole thing, including the parts where I fix something. Then you build yours.

After

The replay, so you can rebuild alongside it at 11pm on a Sunday if that’s when you actually work.

Ninety minutes is a deliberate ceiling, not a limitation I’m apologizing for. There’s no module two sitting in a login somewhere waiting to make you feel bad in November. It starts and it finishes on the same afternoon.

What’s included

Everything that comes with your seat.

The pre-work prompt

Sent the minute you buy, so you arrive with the thinking already started instead of cold.

Two ways in

Come with a quiz idea or come with nothing at all. Both are planned for.

The prompt set

Every prompt for every stage, from what you’re sorting on through the email sequence at the end.

The live ninety minutes

The full build in ChatGPT Sites, start to finish, including the parts where I fix something.

The replay

Yours to keep, so you can rebuild alongside it whenever it is that you actually work.

What you leave with

Your questions, your logic, your result paths, your email sequence, and your build already started.

Six prompts, one per stage

What’s actually in the prompt set.

01

Who you serve, and the problem you solve

The pre-work prompt, sent the minute you buy.

02

What you’re sorting on

The two things about a person that change what you’d sell them.

03

The questions

How to write questions that reveal those two things without asking about them directly.

04

The paths and the logic

How answers map to outcomes, and what happens in between.

05

The result pages

What each path gets told about itself, and what it’s told to do next.

06

The email sequence

One sequence per path, written from what the quiz just found out.

You run them in order, and what comes out the other end is the plan you build from.

End to end

What the finished thing does while you’re asleep.

01

Someone takes the quiz

Eight questions, about two minutes.

02

The logic sorts them

Into one of four paths you defined.

03

They land on their result

Their own page, their own plan, their own PDF.

04

The result goes with them

Email plus result, tagged, sequence starts on its own.

Who this is for

This is for you if you’ve got a list, an audience, or a following, and you can’t tell one person on it from another. If you’ve got real expertise and a real business and the segmentation question has been sitting on your list since roughly forever.

It’s not for you if you want a quiz template to fill in. There are plenty of those and they’re fine. This is the thinking work first, which is slower and better and the reason the thing works when it’s done.

You don’t need to be technical.
You do need to know who you serve well enough to answer one prompt about it before September 17.

The first ten

The first ten seats come with a thirty minute call with me.

Here’s what I want out of this, plainly.

This is the first time I’m teaching it, and the one thing I can’t get from building it alone is hearing where somebody actually gets stuck. So the first ten people who buy get a thirty-minute call with me before the 17th, one to one, about your quiz specifically.

That isn’t a bonus stack. It’s research, and I’m paying for it with the only thing I have that doesn’t scale.

Ten is ten because ten is what fits in my week. When they’re gone, they’re gone, and the price is $35 either way.

What this costs to run after the workshop

You need a paid ChatGPT account. Let’s do the math out loud.

ChatGPT Sites is on the paid tier, which is $20 a month. If you’re already paying for it, you’re done. If you’re not, that’s the one thing to sort out before the 17th, and I’d rather tell you here than have you find out on the day.

Here’s why I picked it:

The quiz platforms

$39–$99/mo

They start around $39 a month, and that tier caps you at a hundred responses. The month your quiz actually starts working is the month you’re looking at the $99 tier, which is the real price of a quiz that does its job.

My own stack

~$20/mo

The way I build things for myself is Vercel and GitHub and Supabase, which is also about $20 a month and comes with a learning curve I’m not going to pretend is short. I’d teach you that in a different room, on a different day, for a different price.

What we’re using

$20/mo

ChatGPT Sites. Twenty dollars you’re probably already spending, no separate platform, no per-response cap sitting between you and the point, and a build you can finish in an afternoon.

(And if you’re already paying for a quiz platform, take the workshop and build it there instead. The thinking work is the part that transfers.)

First run price
$35

$97 the next time I run this.

Not a countdown timer. It’s just true, and here’s the reason.

This is the first live run. I’ll find out what actually trips people up by watching it happen in a room instead of guessing at it, and the next version will be better because of what happens in this one.
Every run after this, the price reflects that.

So you’re paying less for the version that hasn’t been sanded down yet, and I’m getting the thing I can’t buy anywhere, which is watching real people build this in real time.

No refund, and I’ll tell you exactly why.

What I can promise is that you’ll get the complete method and the full build, live, with nothing held back for an upsell. What I can’t promise is what you’ll do with it, because I don’t know your patience level and neither do you until you’re in it.

A guarantee on a $35 workshop is usually there to make the buying feel safer than the doing. This one’s cheap enough that you can decide from the quiz and the pre-work prompt whether it’s for you, and honest enough that I’m not going to pretend I control the part that’s yours.

The things you’re already thinking.

“I’ve bought workshops I never finished.”

So have I, and I’ve got the login list to prove it. Ninety minutes is the whole answer to that. One sitting, live, with the build happening while you’re in the room. There’s no module two waiting to make you feel bad.

“I don’t have a quiz idea yet.”

Good, that’s entry path two. Showing up without a concept is a supported starting point, not a problem to solve before you arrive.

“I don’t use ChatGPT, I use Claude or Gemini.”

The prompt set runs anywhere, so the thinking work happens in whatever you already have open. The build portion is the one place the tool is specified, and it needs the paid ChatGPT tier. See the math above, it’s the cheapest part of this.

“Wait, so I have to pay for something else too?”

Twenty dollars a month, and only if you’re not already paying it. I’d rather say that on the sales page than have you find out on the 17th (if you’re already building elsewhere, Claude Code/Codex and self-hosting, Lovable, etc. all of this translates there).

“My list is too small for this to matter.”

Sorting a small list is easier than sorting a big one, and doing it now means you never have to go back and retrofit it. The people who wish they’d done this are the ones who did it late.

“I can’t make September 17th.”

Replay’s included and it’s yours to keep. Buy it, do the pre-work, watch it when you can.

“Can’t I just ask AI to build me a quiz?”

You can, and it will, immediately. Then you’ll have a quiz that sorts on something you didn’t think hard about, which is the exact mistake I made four times in a row. The build is ninety minutes. The thinking is what you’re paying $35 for.

The next time you have something to sell, you’ll already know who to
send it to.

That’s the whole thing. Not a bigger list. A list you can read.

September 17, ninety minutes. $35 for this run.
