#FtheHustle ~ 028 – All I Know So Far

#FtheHustle

Have you ever found a song that speaks to you so strongly that you play it on loop for a while? πŸŽΆ

I know it can’t be the only one…

This issue is inspired by this song (and I highly recommend you listen, even if you’re not a fan of her music…I’m linking to a video with the lyrics, not the official video).

“All I Know So Far” by P!NK hit home for me and is kind of my personal anthem right now.

A few weeks ago I said things the online marketing space feels a bit like the “wild west” in that things are changing, there’s a LOT of opportunity, and the days of “that’s the way it’s always been done” are over.

Change can be scary… but this is where you need to start asking yourself different questions.

A simple “what if it’s going to be better?”

What if it can be more FUN?

What if I do this the way I want to do it, not the way someone told me I needed to do it?

What if I don’t have to be on every social media platform or be an early adopter to succeed?

I highly recommend you make a list of questions that will help you move towards what you want. Don’t give another thought to what you don’t want or don’t like…

The driving force behind my decision to start enjoying social media again was one thing: people.

I miss connecting with people… creating new friendships, finding new people I can support who are doing amazing things in the world, listening to what people are creating…

You don’t need a huge list, massive launch, or ridiculous ad budget to throw money at paid traffic to create a business and life you love.

We totally over-complicate this.

Ask to have a quick call, share someone else’s content, offer to interview someone to share what they’re doing (podcast, video, live stream… whatever).

You’ll be surprised at what starts happening.

There is nothing like using your platform to share what someone else is doing.

And let go of expectations or outcome.

Sometimes the rewards show up in ways you never expected, but regardless, you will feel like a million bucks… and isn’t that worth it?

Just the Tip πŸ’‘

Reach out to someone new to connect with!

OR… if you’re not sure where to start with that you can always connect other people to one another. I do this as often as I can when there is an obvious or natural synchronicity.

A Little Brainpower πŸ§

So many exciting things happening around the web these days…

I have found so many great entrepreneurs and authors with my new “newsletter obsession”… David Ramos is a great example of this. His article, “Conversion Strategy (Part 1): Creating a Valuable Offer” is a must-read! Reason #2 speaks directly to the power of newsletters.

This is another reminder that deciding to step up my video game is probably a good idea. Not a huge TikToker (is that a word?), but maybe it’s time to look at Shorts on YouTube? Apparently, they’re rolling out TikTok style videos for all users.

Bonus: if you’re thinking about starting a newsletter (which IMO would be a great idea), a referral program is a great way to grow it. Read “14 Free Newsletter Referral Reward Ideas” from SparkLoop.

Tool Time  πŸ›

I’m really looking forward to being settled in Costa Rica. My time is pretty squeezed, so trying new things is on the bottom of the list. However, I still have some find finds for you.

  • Video: Yep, another video tool (and this certainly won’t be the last). I cam across Vidds for easy online video editing (fact: editing is one of my least favorite tasks). Try Vidds free for video editing here.

  • Chatbot: I’m *kind of* falling in love with Notion, so it’s pretty fun to see all the products & templates that have been created to use in Notion. Now there is a Chatbot. Try Chatbot in Notion free here.

  • Video & transcription: It’s more important than ever to add transcription to your videos when you can (so it’s more accessible to a larger group of people). Try Subly for Free here.

  • Productivity: I am a “list maker”… I haven’t tried this one, but it’s a free tool to create checklists & processes for your team. Try Checkli for free here.

Star Wars fans or not, this is pretty awesome 😊

FtheHustle newsletter

Only 4 more spots left!

This was in yesterday’s email, but here’s what I’m doing.

his is a 2-month program (no more than 10-people).

You’ll get:

  • A private one-to-one onboarding call with me
  • 2 group coaching calls per month
  • Monthly Q&A call
  • Voxer access for individual questions

We’ll look at:

  • The current state of your email list
  • How you’re driving traffic & leads
  • How you email (frequency, content, style, automations)
  • What you want to accomplish
  • Create a plan to accomplish it

The primary areas of the training (each call will include coaching, not just hot seats and Q&A) will be list growth, consistent emailing, launch & promotional emails, and of course, because I love them… newsletters.

Email marketing is the ONE thing I wish I had put more time and energy into when I first started my business (over 13 years ago).

You don’t have to be a “writer” to succeed with email marketing.

You just need to care about your subscribers, and have a great offer that solves a problem they have.

The end result for you?

You have an email list you email often, have an offer that converts, and make sales from your list. Every.Single.Week.

The next step?

Simply hit reply and we’ll set up a time to talk.

Oh… and this isn’t some ‘high ticket’ sales call (nor is this a “high ticket” offer).

This is you and I having a quick chat to see if it’s a good fit.

Just email me and we’ll set up a time to talk.

Have a fantastic day,

Kim
