#FtheHustle ~ 008December 22, 2020 December 23, 2020 /
It’s been a while since I’ve been been able to hold the boundaries I’ve set for the last two weeks of the year.
Every year my goal is to take the last two weeks for myself, whatever that looks like. Fortunately, it’s been much easier this year.
As strange and challenging as this year has been it has actually been a really good year for me, for many reasons, and for that, I’m grateful.
Here’s the cool thing about what’s been good…
Most of the things I’ve done this year have been internal, in other words, from the outside it might look like not a lot has changed.
However, it’s set me up for a phenomenal 2021.
Like many of you I’ve been getting clearer and clearer about what I want my business to look like this coming year.
I’m creating the plans, implementing, and am going to stay FOCUSED!
That seems to be the biggest obstacle for entrepreneurs. It’s in our nature to want to try ALL the things (O.K., maybe not all, but you get my point).
Having a solid foundation and getting it running like a well oiled machine is the best way to set yourself up for success.
I know I probably sound like a bit of a broken record, but it’s true (and really, do you trust people that keep changing their tune?).
Whatever you do or don’t celebrate at this time of year I hope you’re taking some time for yourself to get clear on what you want your business and life to look like in 2021.
Next week I’ll be sharing some predictions, a list of things I’m going to stop doing, and what I have planned for the New Year.
A Little Brainpower 🧠
Grab a beverage and dig into this article with pen and paper. Brian Dean has written an article on Content Marketing in 2021 AND… his second chapter on this post is “Email Marketing is Making a Comeback”… yea baby! Click here to read Content Marketing in 2021.
This is my kinda article.. it’s all about micro-habits! I cringe when I see articles with tips that make me feel like I’ve created a part-time job just to maintain my new habits. I tested hanging off the back of my bed to stretch my back and neck… aaah…. Read 20 Realistic Micro-Habits to Live Better Every Day here.
Tool Time 🛠
One of the best things you can do for your business is getting testimonials from happy customers (I know, I know, I’m stating the obvious here). Add your products to your Testimonial account to make it easy to get a product or service-specific video testimonial. Try Testimonial for free here.
Using webinars on-demand is going to be a major part of my lead generation plans for the upcoming year. I use on-demand instead of evergreen because I truly hate the fake times you have to select with evergreen webinars. This is why we signed up for WebinarKit (lifetime pricing) and why I’m recommending it! Get lifetime pricing on WebinarKit here.
For Your Listening Pleasure 🎧
This episode got me pretty excited about the advertising landscape for 2021. This is part 2 in a series (I believe there will be 3 total) from the new Smart Marketer podcast (this was from their recent virtual event). How does ad costs going DOWN in 2021 sound? Listen to “2021 Predictions for Marketers & Digital Brands (Part 2) here (this episode isn’t up on their site as of this writing).
I decided to continue the conversation on courage (from my previous conversation with Allegra, but this is a solo episode). Not only does it take courage to be who you really are, but it takes courage to stay focused and stay the course that you’ve set for yourself. In other words, don’t follow the herd. Listen to “Continuing the Conversation on Courage KDS: 061” here.
Because We All Need More Books 📕
“More and more opportunities are rising out of the ashes of the broken system to generate real inward success (personal happiness and health) and outward success (fulfilling work and wealth).” This is the best description for this book (from the Amazon page) and sums up where we are right now. Read “Choose Yourself!” by James Altucher.
While not solely focused on e-commerce, this book will guide you with a solid foundation for finding a winning product idea, get it to 25 sales a day, and then how to scale it. Ryan Daniel Moran, of Capitalism.com, has successfully sold an e-commerce brand for 8-figures. Read “12 Months to 1 Million” here.
As a die-hard Harry Potter fan, I can’t help but love J.K. Rowling’s brain… and I would never want to get into a battle on Twitter with her… 🤣

As we wind down this year I thought this song was appropriate to share with you.
Building a business, following your dreams, and being unapologetically YOU is what the world needs.
Hope this brings a smile to your face and a reminder that I am ALWAYS on your side!
Have a wonderful holiday or long weekend ahead!
