Always Belong To and Believe in Yourself FIRST

It’s another gray and rainy morning in Costa Rica (still 82 degrees ?) and I’m happy at my desk with coffee and a list of things to do to get ahead of my week.

As much as I miss the blue skies, the rain makes Costa Rica explode with vegetation… and it’s beautiful. ??

It’s also great weather for getting work done.

It’s been a lovely weekend. I’ve rested, worked, and chilled out a bit (season 6 of Peaky Blinders was fantastic!).

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about the new direction I’m heading… because it’s scary AF.

This week’s podcast episode will go deeper – and why it’s taken me 14 years to find the courage to do this, but this morning I came across something I wanted to share with you today.

Something I needed to share with you.

It’s a quick 10-minute video that is absolutely 100% worth your time.

This is for those moments when you doubt yourself or allow the voices of other people to drown out your own.

In many ways, I realize that I’ve been living my life like this (being willing to stand alone), but I allow myself to go only so far.

Once you’ve been in business for a while the excitement of what you’re doing can wear off.

The reality of the tasks, the clients, the content, the customers… becomes the dominant “thing” that demands our attention and our time.

This past week I’ve felt something I can only describe as “delicious.”

That feeling…

That knowing…

That deep inside THIS is what I was meant to do… and I’m going to do it.

ALL I wanted to do was sit with that feeling.

I let go of needing to make a plan or start crafting a strategy… (although it’s starting to eeek it’s way out of me and I’m having a ball).

Last week I shared wanting to do “ALL the things” and that I needed to get it out of my head.

Well, yesterday was similar.

I moved to my table with my pens, paper, and laptop and let things flow ?:

As I head in this new direction I know without a shadow of a doubt that I’ll be pulling this part of me into everything I do (and how I work with people).

Every ounce of my being is craving this level of creativity in my work.

It’s time to unapologetically be myself.

Here’s the inspiration I wanted to share with you today.

The creative path, i.e., the entrepreneurial path, can and will be lonely.

Always belong to and believe in yourself first.
